Manual Lymph Drainage
Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) is an advanced therapeutic method that is gentle, non-invasive technique that has a powerful effect on the body stimulating the lymphatic system.

Gentle, rhythmical and precise movements are applied to specific areas of the body to aid in collecting and moving lymphatic fluid.  The movement of the skin accelerates the reabsorption of tissue fluid into the lymphatic channels, increasing the effectiveness of excess lymph fluid filtered through the lymph nodes and vessels.

Consistent Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) creates alternate pathways by redirecting stagnant fluid to healthy lymphatic vessels and nodes.

Manual Lymph Drainage has an effect on the parasympathetic nervous system and as a result, individuals experience a calming, relaxing effect and often feel a sense of well-being after treatment.

Developed in 1932 by Dr. Emil and Estrid Vodder in France, Manual Lymph Drainage has grown to be the most well-known of manual techniques to assist lymph flow and aid in drainage of tissues.  Research in Australia, Europe and North America has proven its efficacy as a stand-alone treatment and in combination with other therapies.
